The Meaning behind Honicove
Honicove didn’t start as a brand.
It started as a bond.
Long before we ever named it, it was simply how the three of us lived — three best friends with different personalities, different strengths, and one shared pulse. We were drawn to movement. We were drawn to fashion. Those weren’t hobbies; they were our languages.
Movement made us feel.
Fashion helped us express it.
The way we dressed, the way we carried ourselves, the way we took up space; that was how we learned who we were, who we are becoming, and who we were allowed to be.
We didn’t always look the same or move the same and that's the beauty.
We inspired each other. We challenged each other. Through every season; joy, love, loss, confusion, rebuilding; We stayed side-by-side holding each other. Growing with each other. Choosing each other, every time.
Honicove is the story of that becoming.
“honi” was always a word we would use to call each other sometimes. A word that meant: you’re one of mine. The person we trust. The one who feels like home. But we didn’t want to create just another activewear brand.
We wanted to build a world.A world where women feel supported, seen, understood, and encouraged. A world that lets you be soft and strong, quiet and bold, grounded and playful — all at once. A world where style is expression and movement is devotion.
We wanted to take the feeling of us and make it wearable, livable, shareable.
That world is the cove.
The cove isn’t a studio or a room. It’s something you build inside yourself, a feeling of safety, confidence, familiarity, and returning home. Where your confidence grows quietly, slowly, beautifully from the inside out. Because confidence isn’t something you just have. It’s something you build through movement, presence, choice, and self-love.
And that journey, that slow, intentional, empowered becoming — is sexy.
Where Strength Meets Softness
Strength and softness have always lived in us at the same time. We’ve had seasons where we were steady and composed, and others where we felt everything all at once. There were moments of tears followed by moments of showing up anyway, days of rest that still counted as growth, and times where we carried our hearts wide open while standing firmly in who we were becoming. What we’ve learned is that strength is not hardness. It’s self-trust. Softness is not fragility. It’s depth. Confidence doesn’t have to be loud to be real — the quiet, steady kind is just as powerful. The woman we are shaping is one who honors both parts of herself: the tender and the unshakable. This balance is not the end goal — it’s the ongoing becoming.
The Color Red — Our Signature Flame
Red is our signature because it embodies presence. It does not ask to be seen; it simply is. It’s steady, warm, and unapologetically alive. It holds depth without effort, elegance without performance, and confidence without noise. Our red reflects a woman who is rooted in herself: aware, composed, and unshakably here. It is the flame that stays, the center that holds, the knowing that does not waver. This is the tone of Honicove—the reminder that your power has never left you.
Welcome to the Cove
The Cove didn’t come from a business plan, it came from life. It came from the moments we felt overwhelmed, disconnected, tired of being everything for everyone else, and needed somewhere to just be. It came from late-night talks, silent drives, crying on the floor, laughing until it hurt, and reminding each other, “you’re okay, you’re still you.” We realized we needed a place to land when the world felt too loud, a place to slow down when we’d been moving on autopilot, a place to reconnect when we couldn’t even hear ourselves think. Some days you’ll walk into the Cove feeling strong and aligned, and some days you’ll arrive unsure and a little undone but either way, you’re not out of place. This is where you remember yourself. Where you take up space again. Where you breathe deeper and feel everything you’ve been holding. We built the Cove from the way our friendship holds us — steady, real, honest, grounding and now we’re opening that energy to you. You don’t have to already be confident to be here. Just come as you are.
Welcome home, Honi. You’re one of us now!
